The central problem

Gold carries material value. A brand must create a reason to choose.

In a market where product imagery, language, and visual cues often converge, a new logo alone cannot create an advantage. A jewellery brand must know who it is for, what it promises, why it should be remembered, and how those decisions stay coherent across naming, packaging, retail, collections, and digital experience.

What you take away

A shared language for brand decisions—not a collection of preferences.

01

Clear positioning

Define audience, competitive frame, meaningful difference, and the value you create beyond the weight of the metal in one usable statement.

02

Brand idea and narrative

Shape the central idea, story, and voice without relying on generic claims about luxury, authenticity, or timelessness.

03

Identity-system logic

Build a coherent brief for Persian and English logotypes, colour, typography, pattern, imagery, and art direction.

04

Collection architecture

Organise the relationship between the master brand, collections, naming, and recurring codes so variety does not become noise.

05

Touchpoint map

Prioritise packaging, retail, exhibitions, social channels, and the website as parts of one connected experience.

06

Action plan

Turn the gap between the current brand and its intended direction into specific decisions, a sequence, and a 30-day plan.

Masterclass map

Six chapters, from business problem to brand experience.

This is the proposed editorial framework. Exercise order, duration, and final format will be updated here after the programme is confirmed with the instructor.

  1. 01

    Brand before logo

Read the category, audience, and competition; define the problem, positioning, promise, and perceived value in the jewellery market.

  2. 02

    Name, story, and voice

Build a central idea, naming logic, founder narrative, and verbal voice—and separate an honest story from decorative brand copy.

  3. 03

    Identity as a system

Understand how symbols, monograms, Persian and English logotypes, colour, typography, pattern, image, and motion work as one language.

  4. 04

    Collections, products, and codes

Use brand and collection architecture, product naming, and recognisable codes to connect jewellery design with brand identity.

  5. 05

From box to window to screen

Design continuity across packaging, print, retail, exhibitions, Instagram, and the website instead of treating each as a separate decoration.

  6. 06

    Launch, governance, and continuity

Set implementation priorities, write a design brief, establish usage rules, direct content, and shape a 30-day activation plan.

Final project

Jewellery Brand Blueprint

Each participant builds a compact blueprint for a real or emerging brand: positioning statement, brand idea and narrative, naming and voice rules, visual direction and moodboard, collection logic, three priority touchpoints, and a 30-day plan. It does not replace a full agency strategy or finished identity; it creates the brief and decision path for that work.

Who is it for?

  • Jewellery-brand founders and owners who want to move beyond product- and price-only competition.
  • Independent jewellery designers preparing to turn a personal name or studio into a coherent brand.
  • Brand, marketing, content, and customer-experience leads inside jewellery businesses.
  • Family businesses that need a renewed identity, a new generation of audience, or coherence across touchpoints.

Who is it not for?

  • Anyone expecting a finished logo or complete visual identity to be delivered at the end of the masterclass.
  • Anyone looking only for templates, social-media trends, or an instant sales formula.
  • Anyone unwilling to make real decisions about audience, business model, and brand priorities.
  • Anyone primarily seeking software training; this is not a graphics-software course.

Instructor

Mohsen Asgari

Branding designer and creative director

Mohsen Asgari is a branding designer and creative director whose work treats identity as more than a standalone logo: marks, typography, colour, image, motion, and spatial experience become one coherent language. His portfolio moves across different industries and scales—from ŌN Project and The Tbilisi Edition to fashion brand Bazzelli and jewellery identity Fereshteh Rostamian. The strength of that practice is turning an initial idea into a recognisable system across multiple touchpoints. From Gold to Brand brings that perspective to a practical problem for jewellery businesses: creating clear positioning, a distinctive identity, and an experience that does not depend on the logo alone.

Selected work

Four projects. Four different scales of identity building.

The selection shows a practice extending beyond the mark itself: ŌN as a cultural destination, Fereshteh Rostamian in jewellery, The Tbilisi Edition in hospitality, and Bazzelli in fashion. All four appear in Mohsen Asgari’s official portfolio.

Project names and images are selected from Mohsen Asgari’s official portfolio.

Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions

Is this masterclass only about logo design?

No. A logo is one part of an identity. The programme begins with positioning and narrative, then moves through the visual system, collections, packaging, retail, digital channels, and brand governance.

Will I leave with a complete visual identity?

No. The outcome is a Jewellery Brand Blueprint: an actionable map and brief for the next decisions, not a substitute for a complete brand-strategy and design engagement.

Do I need to be a graphic designer or know design software?

This is not a software class; it is built around brand decisions. Exact prerequisites will be published once the exercise format is final.

Can I join if my brand has not launched yet?

The programme is designed to work for emerging brands too, provided you have a real product idea, audience, and problem to develop. Final entry conditions are coming soon.

When will the date, duration, and venue be announced?

DIDAR will publish the exact details here and through its official channels after final coordination with the instructor.

What is the tuition, and are payment terms available?

They are not yet final. The price and payment terms will be stated transparently here before enrolment opens.

Will the masterclass be recorded, and is there a certificate?

Recording, attendance, support, and certificate policies have not yet been confirmed and will be stated before final enrolment.

Does this form reserve a seat?

No. It records interest only and creates no payment obligation or confirmed place.
