Software can produce form, but it does not decide thickness, connections, stone clearance, editability, assembly logic or production readiness. This masterclass focuses on the gap between knowing commands and building a professional CAD model.

Two serious milestones: sessions 10 and 20.
Each participant presents a first project in session 10 and a second in session 20. The goal is to turn ideas into accurate, production-ready 3D models, use critique and explain the technical decisions behind each model.

Jewellery designer and digital jewellery design instructorMobina Mohammadvali has more than eight years of experience in digital jewellery design and has taught the field for the past three years. Her work focuses on precise modelling, contemporary form and the relationship between technology, structure and concept. In 2026, her Connection jewellery set received a Bronze A’ Design Award.

Participants should install Rhino 5, Matrix 9, Magic and MatrixGold on their laptops. Matrix 9 was released in 2017 and is now a legacy product; compatibility guidance and minimum hardware requirements will be published before final enrolment.
How is the course structured?
There are 20 in-person sessions, each three hours long, for 60 instructional hours in total. Classes run on Sundays from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.
Does the course start from zero?
